Well after an awful 2011, 2012 has not started well. Two days ago my father in law was out walking with my mother in law and suddenly collapsed with a heart attack and died. It has been such a shock to us all.
I went for a lovely walk along the beach this morning; it doesn't even feel like winter the past few days and there were so many people out enjoying this mild weather. Nearly everyone seemed to have a dog and this one was certainly enjoying his morning dip.
Fishermen were out
and gliders
Then it was home to scrambled eggs on toast.
This week I have been trying to get to grips with my new camera and all the effects it can do.
and more felting this weekend but I'll post photos of this another time.
That looks like a perfect walk ... so sad to hear about your FIL .... sudden deaths are very shocking for those left behind but you have comfort in knowing that he didn't suffer for long. Take care x
ReplyDeleteMy MIL was a sudden death, hard at first but in time comforting that she did not suffer. Little things like morning walks sure help to clear your head.
ReplyDeleteAm so sorry to hear the sad news. What a terrible shock for you all. It's very hard to come to terms with losing a loved one when death happens so suddenly.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a lovely walk to refresh you.
Love bellaboo X
Sorry to hear your sad, news but to not suffer is surely the best way.
ReplyDeleteHave fun with your camera the sea has been brisk here just the thing to blow away the cobwebs.
Thank you for your lovely comments on my blog, and how strange that we both wrote similar posts. What a terrible shock for you all, so sudden and sometimes hard to come to terms with. I expect the walk did you the world of good.

I am so sorry to read your sad news. And it is so difficult to come to terms with the sudden death of a loved one. My thoughts are with your mother in law and family at this sad time.
ReplyDeleteWe have had some very bad gales to start the year. However, this weekend has been more settled, and the beach is a lovely place for a walk. You have taken some wonderful pictures, the lily is stunning!

ReplyDeleteHi Ruth
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hear about your father in law, it is such a shock. My father in law went the same way almost two years ago and it came as a terrible shock as he was always so fit and active for a man in his seventies. Take care and thinking of you and your family.
Love
Jo xx
So sorry to hear that Ruth. My thoughts are with you.
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are lovely.
I wish I could walk to a beach even a short drive would be good. I need a walk like that, this mild weather is great but I feel so hot indoors, not right this time of year!
God bless.

So sorry to read of your FIL Ruth, what a shock for you all. I'm sure you'll find some escapism from these unhappy times with your new camera. I still haven't got to grips with mine, and I've had it over a year! Considering scrambled eggs is such a cinch to make, it's a great snack. x
