Lucy Bloom's I'm not the only person to experience bad customer service from Cath Kidston (not her personally, of course!). Yesterday I phoned the company again to ask where my item I ordered in December is and was told it is still on order and will be despatched as soon as their supplies are replenished. I had emailed them too and also received a reply yesterday saying that my order has been cancelled as they are having trouble with their supplier! So I don't know which one is correct. As a 'gesture of goodwill' they have offered me 10 per cent discount + free p&p on my next order (don't think I'll bother, somehow). Lucy has received her little fabric covered set of drawers which is what I also ordered and I am so jealous! Never mind, these came from Amazon today.
Another book from Ryland, Peters & Small to add to my growing collection. I just love all these books. Also Agnes Grey which is on my Reader's Group's list and I have never read so I'm looking forward to starting that. Amazon email you to let you know when your parcel has been despatched which is useful to know when it will arrive (perhaps CK should take a leaf out of their book - excuse the pun!).
I have done another makeover, on a stool this time. I forgot to take a 'before' photo but here is the 'after'. It matches a chair I showed in a previous post.
Cath kidston delivery is terrible, My mum recently bought me something and it took a month to arrive!
ReplyDeleteIts such a shame, Im sure they lose lots of customers with there terrible service.
Anyway, enough of the moaning...Im absolutly loving that little stool, its so pretty!

That's so horrible about Cath Kidston's customer service! hmmmm If she wants to keep her good name, she'd better make certain her business runs smoothly!
ReplyDeleteYour stool is darling! I love the fabric you used!
hi there love your stool. Thanks for the comment - I am not on the internet yet - it was 7 days for the BT phone - transferring the smae number! and now Supanet need 21 days to give me the broadband connection - if I had had a new number it wouldnt have taken this long - how bizarre is that?? Anyway I think I can get on to ebay tonight - need to feed my habit!! My son has picked up someones braodband connection along the road who obviously doesnt have it protected! We wont look at their stuff but will use the signal. I need to change my address on there and paypal. I will hopefully see my message then. I need to leave feedback for two lovely printers things I won and they kindly waited until I had moved before they sent them. I absolutely adore my house - but there wont be pix for a while I can't put any of my own stuff out until the gas CH is fitted which is very frustrating. We have a conservatory full to the ginnels of boxes! I think there are 60!I will take a picture of that 'cos it has to be seen to be believed. I can't even fill the loft 'cos we are having it insulated for free as Alan is 61! I am missing my bloggers so much.....
ReplyDeleteLovely stool, Ruth. Sorry you haven't received your CK parcel. Puts you off ordering again, doesn't it.

Hello! I agree with you totally about the level of customer services at CK, we have a CK shop in town which means I don't buy anything from her website anymore, which is a relief because I have been mucked around so much by them in the past. I just can't believe that their service is so slack and their prices so steep!!!! Love that stool, such pretty colours and the fabric is gorgeous.

Hi Ruth, what a shame about the fabric-covered drawers, I guess I was lucky that I did get mine - maybe some will appear on Ebay some time, it would be interesting to see what they go for if they did. I have been buying lottery tickets, but so far no luck :-(

I'd like to read that Bronte too. I'm thinking about joining our local book club. It's Doris Lessing this month...
ReplyDeleteAmazon customer service is excellent can't say the same for Argos though!
ReplyDeleteLove the makeover on the stool. Regarding Cath Kidston, I really think this sort of service is deplorable. Maybe it would take a boycott of her goods for something to be done to improve customer service. We had a bad experience with Pentax and have vowed never to buy another product of theirs again. x
ReplyDeleteAgnes Grey is one of my favourite Bronte books, so quiet and understated and yet the heroine, which is obviously Anne, so tenacious and loving. I have always felt that Anne has been rather neglected and has suffered in comparison with Emily and Charlotte. Her other book, tenant of wildfell hall is one of my favourites too
